XP Factory Expects 2021 Earnings in Line With Previous Guidance

By Ian Walker

XP Factory PLC said Friday that it expects to report earnings for 2021 in line with guidance given in January, and that the company is on track to open 27 Boom Battle Bars by the end of this year.

The owner of the Escape Hunt and Boom Battle Bar brands said recent performances from new Boom sites validate the board’s expectations for the site-level profitability that it believes is achievable.

The company said Escape Hunt performance has exceeded the board’s expectations for the first quarter of this year.

XP Factory said in January that it anticipates reporting positive group earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for the second half of 2021, above expectations, as it benefited from the lifting of coronavirus-related lockdown restrictions.

The company is due to report earnings for the year ended Dec. 31 in late May.

Shares at 0753 GMT were up 2.0 pence, or 6.8%, at 31.50 pence.
