John Carpenter‘s Escape from New York has been part of Scream Factory‘s Collector’s Edition line for several years now, and Carpenter’s sequel Escape from L.A. is up next!
The national street date for North America (Region A) is April 28, 2020.
This “definitive edition” of the 1996 film features newly commissioned artwork (which you can see below) that comes to us from artist Hugh Fleming. This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will feature the original theatrical artwork.
The company teases, “New extras are in progress and will be announced on a later date (March timing) but expect it to be loaded. Also, we are working on trying to secure a new transfer of the film, so keep your fingers crossed!”
