Ship Crew Changes Now Permitted at all UAE Ports

UAE’s Federal Transport Authority has issued a circular opening crew changes to all ports across the nation’s seven emirates.

Earlier, crew changes had only been opened for Dubai.

All ship crew are required to meet public health requirements and observe precautionary measures precribed by the UAE government.

Crew members’ have to provide their itinerary to either join other ships or return home. A maritime declaration of health and a pledge by the ship’s captain on the absence of any contagious diseases is another requirement.

A designated person in every port and dry dock facility will follow up on all issues related to the prevention of Covid-19 pandemic and submit an internal daily report.

Those signing on and off will need a 96-hour seafarer entry visa.
