Share your heart at the Pajama Factory’s storytelling event | Life

Citizens of Williamsport and surrounding communities are invited to the “Share Your Heart” storytelling event with the Pajama Factory and Factory Works.

The goal of the event is to collect stories of how these historic institutions have impacted the lives of people in the area, including families or friends, past and present. The stories will serve as inspiration for local artists to craft designs for a permanent mosaic at the entrance of the Pajama Factory under the guidance of ceramic artist Dave Stabley.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 18 at the Pajama Factory on the second floor. For scheduling purposes, the Pajama Factory requests that you register to reserve a time to tell your story. If you require assistance getting to the second floor, please call 570-660-6528 on arrival or indicate the need to use the elevator on your registration form. Admission is free and all ages are invited to attend.

If you have objects or photographs that remind you of your experiences with Factory Works and the Pajama Factory, you are encouraged to bring them.

This project is being done in collaboration with the Heart of Williamsport, a civic engagement project of The Susquehanna Greenway Partnership, a non-profit that helps connect communities to recreation in and along the river corridor.

Support for the event is provided by the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, the Federal-State Partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities under a grant from the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts.
