Red hot container market calls for 500,000 new containers

It is necessary to produce 500,000 new 20-foot containers to stem the currently red hot container market, says US-based freight forwarder Flexport.

In a comment to Bloomberg, the company’s vice president of global ocean, Nerijus Poskus, estimates that it will take hundreds of thousands of new containers to meet the current market demand.
