As Inklings and Octolings around the globe look forward to the release of Splatoon 3, it seems Nintendo is just as busy winding down the services and goodies that shipped alongside Splatoon 2, when it was originally released.
This includes the exclusive Switch Online Splatoon 2 gear. As you might recall, if you signed up to the NSO service on a single or family subscription for 12 months, you would unlock an ‘Online Jersey’ and ‘Online Squidkid V Shoes’.
Over in Japan, it’s been announced this exclusive gear will be discontinued on 31st August 2022. And the deadline for exchanging the code for this gear is 31st December 2022.
At the moment, it seems this is a deadline for Splatoon 2 and Switch Online players located in Japan. If we hear any developments locally, we’ll be sure to let you know.
