Maharashtra political crisis updates: There’s no alternative to BJP govt, says Devendra Fadnavis

After the President’s Rule was imposed in Maharashtra, the state seems to be no closer to getting a government. While the day was filled with parleys between Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress, no formal alliance has been arrived at.

On the other side of the political divide, BJP chief Amit Shah finally broke his silence over the ongoing power tussle in Maharashtra.

In a statement issued by the BJP on Wednesday, the Union Home Minister called the imposition of President’s Rule as “constitutional” and “logical” and hit out at the opposition which has been raising the pitch on the issue.
