Lingerie Traded for ‘Original Goose Country’ on Rivington Street

There is a new leather vendor headed to Orchard Street. Taking the place previously occupied by a lingerie shop and cafe.

Signage appeared this week outside 83 Rivington Street, announcing the forthcoming arrival of Original Goose Country. This is the first brick-and-mortar for the outerwear brand, which came into the scene in 2018.

Its founders were apparently leather vendors in the so-called Lower East Side bargain district of the 1980s and 1990s.

Goose Country is a premium outerwear brand established in 2018 to provide luxury garments to a knowledgeable consumer. Our company’s founders were an integral component of the 80s-90s leather fashion scene. Our founders, once being premium manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers in the heart of New York City on Delancey St., Orchard St., and the West Village, have served the entertainment industry, superstars, and sports personalities since the 80’s.

Tsismis owner, Stephen Dee Young, previously occupied this corner real estate with various ventures. The first was Taste Collection. Then followed by the Taste Cafe offshoot, which didn’t survive the pandemic times.
