How do I factory reset my PS5?
Before factory resetting your PlayStation 5, make sure you’ve backed up all of your latest saves onto the cloud if you own PS Plus or on to an external hard drive or USB before initiating the factory reset.
Once you’ve done that, follow the below steps from your PS5 home screen:
- Go to Settings > System
- Select “System Software”
- Select “Reset Options”
- Select “Reset Your Console”
- Select “Reset”
Your PS5 will then restart itself and you’ll have to go through all of the initial startup steps to get your PlayStation back up and running.
