Fruit wholesaler looted of Rs 3 lakh in Lucknow | Lucknow News

LUCKNOW: Two unidentified bike-borne men looted Rs 3 lakh from a fruit wholesaler under Hassanganj police station area on Friday evening. The duo allegedly opened fire at the victim when he offered resistance. Police are probing the incident after lodging an FIR.
Police said Raj Kumar (53) of Nirala Nagar was attacked when he had stepped in his colony.
“I finished the work at my Galla Mandi fruit mart around 3.45 pm. I was carrying the cash bag in which I had put Rs 3 lakh of the day’s sale. As I was entering the alley of my neighbourhood on bike, the miscreants who were also on a bike suddenly intercepted me from behind,” he said in his FIR to the police.
“One of the miscreants pushed me to the ground while the other snatched the cash bag from me and then both fled outside the shop. I chased them and tried to overpower one of them. Later, the other tried to shoot me but the gun misfired. The miscreants then fled the scene on their bike,” Kumar narrated the sequence of events in the FIR.
SHO Hassanganj, Dheerendra Kushwaha said that a case of loot had been registered and a probe was on. He added that Kumar in his FIR has blamed father-in-law of his elder brother Vijay Pehalwan along with his sons – Vijay and Deepu for orchestrating the loot.
“We have got some CCTV footage and are working on it to get some clue about the assailants,” he added.
