FOX turbine shipment – Ports and terminals

Freight forwarder FOX Brasil shipped an out-of-gauge (OOG) steam turbine and accompanying accessories from Brazil to North America.

The backpressure turbine measured 6.1 m x 4.2 m x 3.2 m and was transported by road from the shipper to the port. FOX navigated various logistics challenges amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

The shipment was for a pulp and paper customer that is developing an environmentally friendly paper manufacturing plant; renewable energy will be generated using the steam turbine, and 92 percent of the water used in the manufacturing process is recycled.
