Estes Forwarding Worldwide (EFW) Announces Establishment of EFW Warehousing, LLC After Acquiring Lewis Logistics

EFW Warehousing, LLC

Our goal is to secure our place as the premier freight forwarder in the industry. By adding strength to our already robust lineup of services, we can further differentiate the EFW Experience from every other freight forwarder. – Scott Fisher, President & CEO, Estes Forwarding Worldwide

Estes Forwarding Worldwide (EFW), a leading United States domestic and international freight forwarder specializing in custom logistics solutions, recently announced the acquisition of Lewis Logistics, a warehousing, distribution, and logistics provider based in North Carolina. EFW, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Estes Express Lines, is a non-asset based freight forwarder that works with clients across the globe, in all industries, to craft and execute customized logistics and warehousing solutions.

The acquisition of Lewis Logistics will lead to the establishment of EFW Warehousing, LLC, a full-service warehousing network. This significantly expands EFW’s existing capabilities to help customers manage inventories and supply chains with warehousing locations in Harrisburg, PA; Greensboro, NC; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, Il; Dallas, TX; and Los Angeles, CA.

“Acquiring Lewis Logistics will allow us to elevate our ability to provide integrated supply chain solutions to our customers,” stated Scott Fisher, CEO and President of Estes Forwarding Worldwide. “In its fifty-year history, Lewis Logistics has established itself as a premier warehousing solutions provider, committed to excellence. The company’s depth of experience and great cultural fit will strengthen and benefit our mutual clients as well as our employees.”

Based in Greensboro, North Carolina, Jonathan Worth will serve as President of EFW Warehousing, LLC and continue to lead a specialized team of experts at locations across the country. With his years of logistics experience in warehousing, distribution, and supply chain, Mr. Worth adds further expertise to the EFW leadership team.

“The expansion of EFW Warehousing comes at a time when demand for shorter-term, project-related warehousing is on the rise – an area in which we excel,” explained Mr. Fisher. “Lewis Logistics has built a very successful supply chain practice in the long-term, contract logistics arena, which complements our plans for expansion and aligns with our vision. Our goal is to secure our place as the premier freight forwarder in the industry. By adding strength to our already robust lineup of services, we can further differentiate the EFW Experience from every other freight forwarder.”
