New Zealand-based workwear wholesaler Betacraft has launched its ISO940 Eco range in the UK, which is 100 per cent waterproof with an impressive waterproof rating of 25,500 mm. The outerwear range is made with up to 25 recycled plastic bottles and 1-2kg of waste yarn per garment (e.g. discarded fishing nets, unwanted clothing, and excess yarns).

Tough and flexible, the rip-stop fabric (with high abrasion resistance and rip prevention) provides enhanced durability. Betacraft has thought about comfort too and the moisture-wicking, breathable functionality keeps active users dry (5,000 rating).

Betacraft is committed to making innovation-led changes and sourcing responsible solutions starting with recycled fabrics, organic fibres, and global-standard audits across its supply chain. Going forward, new, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) or corn starch options will replace plastic packaging, added the release.

The company’s range is suitable for outdoor workers or businesses seeking uniforms, for example, angling, nautical, haulage, veterinary, horticulturalists, landscaping, security, fencing, greenkeeping and more.
