Bangladeshi entrepreneurs establish first P2P shipping company

Airposted charges a small percent of product cost for shipping, which is lower than FedEx or DHL

Seeing the demand and understanding the importance of reliable service, two Bangladeshis have founded a new startup called Airposted to serve as a platform to connect shoppers with travelers.

According to Rayan Rahman and Iqbal Anwar, the co-founders of this startup, Airposted is the first ‘true’ peer to peer shipping and logistics platform in the world that aims to change the way people ship, travel and shop by providing affordable, fast, secure and hassle-free shipping, said a press release.

Shoppers can order anything from the US and avail the best deals and prices, while getting them delivered to their homes at the most affordable shipping prices.

Airposted charges a small percent of product cost for shipping, which is lower than FedEx or DHL, the release added.

Anwar mentioned that travelers could utilize unused space in their luggage to carry goods and earn money.

They can decide which products they prefer carrying. Typically, travelers make $350 for every suitcase of products they carry.

If the traveler needs to pay any tax on Airposted goods, Airposted will reimburse it upon receiving the receipt.

It generally takes two to three weeks to deliver a product, but in most cases, Airposted delivers within a week to ten days.

With the deployment of both iOS and Android app, Airposted is looking to increase its user base and traction in USA, India and Bangladesh.

In the next few years, the two young entrepreneurs want to expand their services in other countries targeting the growing South Asian economy.
