RIDGEFIELD — The town is hosting an at-home COVID-19 test distribution Saturday, according to Ridgefield’s Emergency Management Office.

The distribution will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Scott’s Ridge Middle School, 750 N. Salem Rd. Proof of residency, with either a driver’s license or utility bill and photo ID, will be required, the office said.

Those wishing to attend should enter from Ridgebury Road through the Ridgefield High School parking lot and follow the signs to the distribution. Cars will exit through North Salem Road.

Each family will receive two test kits. The office is asking for each vehicle to only have one family.

“If everyone takes only two kits per family as needed, there will be enough to serve all of Ridgefield,” the office said. “Please do not ask volunteers for extras.”

The kits are intended for residents with COVID symptoms or those who have had a direct exposure to the virus, the office said.

The office is asking anyone who has already received kits to not go to this distribution. If there are extra kits, they will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis at a later date, the office said.
