WORCESTER – A Worcester Police Vice Squad surveillance operation around Belmont St. and Edward St. on Tuesday, September 15, led to the arrest of Kayla Obando, 28, of Worcester, for distribution of drugs.
A report of drugs being sold out of a vehicle by a female in the area led to the surveillance operation Tuesday morning.
According to Worcester Police, at around 10:30 AM officers saw Obando pull up to Earle St. when another female entered her vehicle. After a short ride, Obando dropped the passenger off at nearly the same location.
Officers stopped the female who had exited the vehicle and discovered her in possession of what is believed to be crack cocaine.
Officers conducted a traffic stop of Obando and placed her under arrest.
Obando faces charges of Distribution of a Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine) and Operating a Motor Vehicle after Suspension of License.
