Regarding the editorial: “A blighted mess,” Aug. 4, about the Central Warehouse in Albany, while the city is at last getting tough with Central Warehouse’s owner, I have to ask: What took so long?
The elected officials are supposed to work for and protect the people who elected them to office. They have failed to do their job. So, they should become more responsible for paying the additional costs. Salaries, benefits and pensions should be adjusted to compensate for their non-response to this or any problem they neglect to fix.
