WF flower shop prepares for Valentine’s Day

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and one flower shop in Wichita Falls is experiencing supply chain issues.

Annie Hamm, the owner of Mother Earth Florist, said other than Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day brings in a lot of revenue for her business. Ever since COVID hit, she said she lost her local wholesaler where she purchased vases and roses.

“I would call my wholesaler, and she’s in Dallas. She says ‘Annie, I don’t have those vases.’ Of course, you try to get the least expensive vases, so now you gotta go up to more costly vases. We’ve been scrambling to find vases and get them where we can,” Hamm said.

Hamm is searching for a new wholesaler to complete her orders this Valentine’s Day. Last year, Hamm prepared over 100 Valentine’s Day orders.
