Retail is living through an unprecedented time. The coronavirus pandemic nationwide has squeezed the food and non-food supply chain in a way never seen before.

Sure, retail has a plan for a tornado sweeping through a region or an economic slowdown period, but never has the retail supply chain faced a nationwide crisis that saw key categories flying off shelves in every channel, making it hard to keep up, while at the same time some industries — such as restaurants — halt completely.

Store Brands’ executive editor Dan Ochwat will moderate a webinar on April 29 with Dawn Nowicki, vice president of business development and marketing at Mold-Rite Plastics, about the ways the industry can help manage the supply chain and keep product moving during a crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company has been in the thick of the process, supplying packaging for cleaners and sanitizers that are in high demand. Mold-Rite Plastics operates three plants in the Midwest and has been running at full capacity to support pharmaceutical, nutrition and food segments.
