Walz says food supply chain is solid as hoarding continues

As hoarding of food, toilet paper and other essentials continues across the country, Governor Tim Walz tells Minnesotans:

“Please understand that we believe that the supply chain systems are solid to our grocery stores… but we need folks to be judicious about what they’re purchasing, understanding that some people don’t have the capacity to get it anywhere else.”

Walz says the state is encouraging grocery stores and pharmacies to stay open and the Health Department is monitoring the food supply and the supply chain. He says also of concern is that truck drivers and mechanics remain able to work and distribution centers stay open.
