Using Proprietary ‘Best Rate’ Methodology, Visible Supports Its Clients to Build Their Businesses by Providing Cost-Effective, Efficient Shipping

SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Visible Supply Chain Management (www.visiblescm.com), an industry leader in shipping and fulfillment services for supply chain management, announces the 2020 General Rate Increases (GRIs).

Prices are adjusted every year by all major shipping carriers. Two major carriers have announced an average increase of 4.9% for 2020. Yet, given that the GRI is an average, shippers can expect to see a discrepancy between the announced GRI and the actual increase to their shipping cost.

“In this industry, annual GRIs are to be anticipated. The effects of the new rates will vary based on our client’s unique business model,” noted Casey Adams, Visible’s president. “Pricing changes are always an uncomfortable part of business. When new GRIs are announced, we take the new rates and provide data and analytics for our customers, so they know exactly how these changes will influence their bottom line.”

The GRIs will vary according to client terms and conditions. The carrier announced GRIs reflect the overall average across all weights and services, not the effective rate increases a shipper will experience. Visible offers a multi-carrier solution so that its customers can choose the options best for them.
