VA Justified in Canceling Procurement for Lack of Fair Prices

Land Shark Shredding LLC failed to show that the Department of Veterans Affairs unreasonably canceled a procurement for document shredding services at medical facilities in Vermont and New Hampshire after determining it didn’t receive fairly priced bids, the Federal Circuit said Monday.

Land Shark didn’t demonstrate that the VA was required to proceed with a procurement set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses regardless of the actual reasonableness of the bids, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said in a nonprecedential decision.
