US House forms supply chain caucus amid coronavirus outbreak

Reps. Colin Allred, D-Texas, Angie Craig, D-Minn., Rodney Davis, R-Ill., and David Rouzer, R-N.C., will serve as co-chairs of the caucus. 

The panel’s goal is to “strengthen and add resiliency to protect the delivery system, which can be severely harmed by geopolitical events such as the recent coronavirus outbreak that has had significant impacts on global supply chains.”

Details of the caucus’ initial meeting dates and agendas have not been released, according to Supply Chain Dive

News of the caucus comes less than a week after the FDA reported the U.S. is experiencing its first drug shortage related to the new coronavirus.
