DUBAI/HAMBURG, Dec 3 (Reuters) – The lowest offer presented at an Egyptian state purchase tender for wheat was at $221.49 a tonne free-on-board (FOB) for 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat, traders said on Tuesday.
The offer was presented by Glencore.
Egypt’s General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) is seeking an unspecified quantity of wheat for shipment Jan. 21-31, 2020.
Results are expected later on Tuesday.
Traders gave the following breakdown of the offers presented at the tender in dollars per tonne on an FOB basis:
*Nibulon: 60,000 tonnes of Ukraine wheat at $222.22
*Glencore: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $221.49
*Gemcorp: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $223.46
*Posco: 60,0000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $223.20
*Solaris: 60,000 tonnes of Russian what at $222.50 and 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $222.75
*Grain Export: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $222.44 and 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $222.48
*ADM: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $223.50
*Cargill: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $228.00
*Garant Logistic: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $225.00
*Glencore: 60,000 tonnes of French wheat at $221.86
*Hakan: 60,000 tonnes of French wheat at $228.80
*Ameropa: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $223.98
Traders also said these were the cheapest offers in cost and freight (C&F) terms including ocean shipping in dollars a tonne:
*Glencore: 55,000 tonnes Russian at $221.49 FOB and $13.68 freight equating to $235.17 C&F
*Grain Export: 60,000 tonnes Russian at $222.44 and $14.30 freight equating to $236.74 C&F
*Grain Export: 60,000 tonnes Russian at $222.48 and $14.30 freight equating to $236.78 C&F
*Solaris: 60,000 tonnes Russian at $222.50 and $13.98 freight equating to $236.48 C&F
