UK government to launch a procurement framework for vertical application solutions

The UK government is planning to launch a procurement framework aimed at vertical application solutions.

Indeed, this £1.8 billion framework is being developed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) in order to provide specialist software suppliers vertical applications, which are solutions developed for a specific industry. The framework will be made for all government departments such as local authorities, emergency services, hospitals, and schools, so as to allow them to procure software under a single agreement.

Moreover, it will be split into five lots that will address the needs of customers in the education, local authority, and social care sectors.

The CCS will be publishing its full contract notice in June 2022 to formally start the competition among suppliers.
