
An independent electrical wholesaler which has operations across the North East has reported an increase in turnover in new results. The company’s managing director has also hailed his team for their response to the Covid-19 crisis.
Park Electrical Distributors was established in 1990 to supply and distribute a range of goods. Its specialist divisions include lighting design, energy services, building technologies and industrial services.
Turnover for the year to 31 December 2019 rose to £28.2m, up from £23.8m in 2018.
Additionally, pre-tax profit reached £915,574, up from £616,596.
Managing director Barry Wilkinson said: “The financial year closing end of December 2019 saw strong growth across all seven branches, with a significant increase in projects secured through our specialist lighting design division.
“The challenges we have faced since then have been unparalleled and I have to give praise to all members of the team who have adapted extremely well during very stressful times to the new ways of working that we have been forced to put in place.
“We are now fully operational again and working on some very exciting projects. This is great news for us and for our loyal customer base, who have supported us so well during this very challenging time.”
