Chinese hotel wholesaler DidaTravel is partnering with Travelport as it expands into providing airline content via a newly launched global distribution system portal.
The Shenzhen-based DidaTravel in August announced development of a multi-GDS portal through which it would provide content from more than 500 airlines to its business-to-business customers, which include agencies and travel management companies. On Tuesday, Travelport announced it was the first GDS partner for the portal, providing airline content through Travelport Plus.
DidaTravel reports a client base of 23,000 buyers around the world, and prior to the pandemic, its hotel bookings across China and the Asia/Pacific region totaled $700 million in 2019.
