The event was held by the Toronto Region Board of Trade, and focused on pressing issues the city is facing like the climate crisis, housing affordability and labour shortages.

Toronto Region Board of Trade brings together five candidates running for the position of mayor to debate the issues. Chloe Brown, Sarah Climenhaga, Gil Penalosa, Stephen Punwasi, and John Tory debate issues related to housing, transportation, and efficiency at City Hall. The debate is moderated by The Agenda’s Steve Paikin.

With one week until Election Day, Toronto mayoral candidates are set to make their pitch to voters in the second and final debate of the campaign Monday afternoon.

The event will be hosted by the Toronto Region Board of Trade at the Carlu from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will focus on pressing issues the city is facing like the climate crisis, housing affordability and labour shortages.

In addition to the incumbent, John Tory, four other candidates are scheduled to take part: Gil Penalosa, Sarah Climenhaga, Stephen Punwasi, and Chloe Brown.

The debate will be streamed live on TVO’s YouTube and Twitter channels. The Star’s Ben Spurr will also be live tweeting the debate beginning at 2 p.m. Check back for live coverage.
