A handful of Chicago companies are starting the year with new execs. From board members to CEOs and VPs, here are some of the new executive hires of the month.

Amanda Lannert

Board Member

Adtech startup Popular Pays recruited Amanda Lannert as an independent board member. Lannert also holds the position of CEO at Jellyvision, a company that she helped grow rapidly — adding about 100 new hires a year. Popular Pays hopes to tap into Lannert’s expertise and embrace the type of company culture she created at Jellyvision.

Marc Kiven

President

Marc Kiven became Forager’s new president at the start of the month. Kiven brings 25 years of experience leading businesses. He’s also the founder of marketing tech company Signal. Forager is a logistics company that builds tech to help companies send shipments across borders.

Emily Heath

Board Member

Emily Heath was recently appointed to the board of LogicGate, coinciding with the company’s $24.75 million Series B funding round. Heath is also the chief trust and security officer at DocuSign. She holds board positions for several other cybersecurity organizations as well, including The Security Advisor Alliance, The National Technology Security Coalition and Cyberstarts.

Nitin Vig

Chief Executive Officer

Mobile Doorman creates custom apps to give residents a platform to interact with each other and the management of the buildings they reside in. The company first tapped Nitin Vig to be its chief operating officer in September, and then gave him the CEO position in December. Vig brings 20-plus years of experience to the role, and he was also on the team that built the Motorola Razr flip phone.

Jessica Malkin

Executive Vice President

Jessica Malkin was most recently the CEO of Chicago Ideas, a nonprofit designed to spark change through events, inspiring content and grassroots initiatives. She will now serve as Cresset Capital’s executive vice president. Cresset, a fintech investing company, says that Malkin’s role will support the company’s strategic growth. Malkin officially joins the team in early 2020.
