Ed is currently Chief Executive Officer of TAG Cyber LLC, a global cyber security advisory, training, consulting, and media services company supporting hundreds of companies across the world.
Ed recently retired from AT&T after thirty-one years of service, beginning in Unix security R&D at Bell Labs and culminating as Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer of AT&T from 2004 to 2016. From AT&T to Johns Hopkins’ APL to NSA’s Advisory Board—Ed has held groundbreaking leadership positions in multiple arenas, working primarily with telecommunications and cybersecurity as developer, engineer and entrepreneur. He has advised US presidents and major institution executives as they navigate cyberthreats to create their own preemptive cyber intelligence.
With advanced degrees from Stevens Institute of Technology and Columbia Business School, Ed is a prolific writer, pioneering manager, college professor, computer scientist and inventor, holding ten patents connected to cybersecurity, including software protection designs used by the US Department of Defense.
