There was more to clean up than expected, when DSV Chief Information officer Jesper Riis last year got access to the IT systems of acquisition Panalpina.
His task was to weave the two companies together. And while CEO Jens Bjørn Andersen along with CFO Jens Lund and Chief Executive for Air and Sea Freight Carsten Trolle look at volumes, customers and employees, Riis instead dove into a key precondition for the whole process: the large-scale IT system that has to function if a company in 2020 is to operate quickly, precisely and be able to grow.
