Tesla Chooses Texas for Cybertruck Factory | 2020-07-23

July 23, 2020—Tesla has officially chosen the location of its new Cybertruck factory: Austin, Texas.

According to a report from Reuters, Tesla will build the $1.1 billion factory dedicated to building the new Cybertruck near Austin, Texas, over the other competing location, Tulsa, Okla.

Tesla, according to the report, told Texas officials that the plant would create at least 5,000 jobs.

The 2,000-acre site on the Colorado River and is about 13 minutes from downtown Austin.
