Tata Group: Supply chain risks loom over Tejas. Can strong order book come to rescue?

Synopsis

Tejas’ top line declined after Q2FY22 mainly due to supply chain disruptions because of semiconductor component shortage. Due to this, the company has not been able to meet customer requirements despite its order book growing. Tejas has taken various initiatives since Q2FY22 to address the semiconductor supply chain issues, like advance ordering of components.

There are many tailwinds for Tejas Networks but the supply chain risks continue to affect the top line and the bottom line, although the order book and cash holdings are strong. The company needs to convert its order book to revenues faster to bring a change in its financial performance and justify its premium valuation. The company manufactures the following products: 93704695Why has Tejas Networks not been able to perform financially even
