Target plans huge new shipping hub in North Fort Worth

A North Fort Worth warehouse project developers said is their largest speculative building ever has landed a big tenant.

The Alliance Center East is a 1.24 million-square-foot industrial building is on Interstate 35W at Westport Parkway, across the highway from Alliance Airport.

The huge new warehouse is a project of developer Hillwood.

Hillwood officials said the industrial building biggest speculative warehouse so far built in the 27,000-acre AllianceTexas development.

New brokerage company reports say that the warehouse has been leased to Target for a major shipping hub.

The building is near other distribution operations for companies including Amazon and FedEx.

The just leased building is the first phase of the 100-acre Alliance Center East business park, which has sites for two more buildings with more than 400,000 square feet

The Target lease at AllianceTexas was the largest such North Texas warehouse deal in the second quarter, according to the latest market update from commercial property firm Cushman & Wakefield.

Other recent major warehouse leases were signed by The Hayes Co. in East Dallas and Libbey Glass in East Fort Worth.

So far in 2022, Cushman & Wakefield has tracked more than 22.5 million square feet of D-FW warehouse leases.
