Tanger Factory Outlets finally ready to break ground on new Tennessee location

The new shopping complex will be off I 24 near Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – Plans are finally moving forward on a major new Tanger outlet center and entertainment district in the Nashville area.

They operate outdoor malls all over the country, but the nearest complexes to us now are in Sevierville and Atlanta.

Tanger Factory Outlets have had big plans to expand their Tennessee footprint on 32 acres off I-24 near Antioch.

But the project ground to a halt during the pandemic when the company needed the funds to keep their other retail locations going.

They had already signed up a number of retailers in 2020, but 14 of them ended up going broke or restructuring during the year.

Finally, they have closed on the property and plan to break ground in about three weeks.

The Nashville Business Journal reports the project includes an outdoor shopping complex along with entertainment and restaurants.
