A late August 2019 UBS note has been open in my laptop dock for over six months, and every time it pops up I do wonder when the little gem subject of the Swiss broker’s coverage – New Zealand’s Mainfreight (MFT) – would strike its next bolt-on deal.
Or whether, more pertinently perhaps, it would receive attention from one of the major global logistics providers and/or private equity.
Good news for me is both scenarios do not seem far-fetched at all, although …
