Despite reporting strong demand across all categories in EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), supply chain congestion resulted in a 5.2% decrease in ASICS EMEA sales revenue for Q1 2022 versus the same period last year.
ASICS EMEA Chief Executive Officer, Carsten Unbehaun said “Consumer demand remains incredibly high for ASICS products in our region. However, our first-quarter financial results have been heavily impacted by supply chain congestion resulting in a lack of product availability.
“Clearly, product availability is our highest priority. We are already seeing strong momentum as we implement solutions to fast-track product availability for our partners and consumers.
“We thank our partners for their continued support as we navigate this challenging time. We do not expect the Q1 supply chain issues to impact the overall financial plan for ASICS EMEA in 2022.”
