Supply Chain Coordinator – Treatt

What you’ll be doing

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Understand Treatt’s procurement strategy, supply base, basics of procurement and processes within the department
• Support and contribute to Treatt’s strategic sourcing initiatives
• Enter pre-purchase shipment samples into JDE and / or Stars; monitor progress and report results back to the buyer(s)
• Working with Regulatory and Imports, request documents that ensure suppliers and products are certified and details are in place for the movement of goods
• Work particularly closely with Planning and Imports in Lakeland to ensure smooth timing and receipt of products; assist with the import process, and with imports, communicate to relevant parties’ details on delays of materials and / or long lead times
• Following instructions from particularly the Lead Citrus Buyer, enter purchase orders and contracts (with a focus on citrus products and suppliers, but not limited to) into JDE and issue those to suppliers
• Monitor the Lakeland dashboard, placing orders as necessary, returning details to Customer Service within a very timely manner
• Monitor the Bury purchasing dashboard and work with that team to place necessary orders
• Regularly run MRP for items purchased from branch 1310, placing orders and updating safety stocks as necessary
• Run citrus MRP for both 2310 and 1310 and report to appropriate buyer(s)
• Transfer products between
• Visit suppliers and attend industry events as and when required
• Ensure that pricing and supplier master data is kept up to date on the relevant IT systems to maintain procurement, planning and sales efficiencies
• Update commodity price list and graphs
• Cross train to become backup for Imports and Bury Procurement when needed
• All other duties as assigned and customary (i.e. working on New Product Submission forms, acquiring Kosher approval for isotankers and entering supplemental data onto orders)

What we’re looking for

• Degree level education, MCIPS/CIPS qualified is desirable
• Previous supply-chain management experience or education also desirable
• An intense level of attention to detail
• Self-starting and deadline focused
• Great interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Knowledge and experience of MRP systems
• A can-do attitude with a pro-active hands-on approach to all tasks
• The ability to communicate complex issues effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing across all levels within the business
• Negotiation and influencing skills
• An ownership mentality with the aptitude to work independently and in a team
• Someone who demonstrates innovation, drive and enthusiasm
• Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and the ability to analyse a high volume of data and produce recommendations
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, with particular focus on EXCEL

Desirable criteria:
• Experience of working within the Flavour & Fragrance industry
• Knowledge and experience of buying from a global supply base
• Experience using JD Edwards (JDE)
• A minimum of 3 years relevant Procurement or Supply Chain experience and commercial awareness
