Sony Pictures Acquires Sundance Film ‘Zola’ for Worldwide Distribution

A24’s Zola earned critical acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival and was recently picked up by Sony Pictures Worldwide to be distributed internationally except in countries, North America, Japan, and China. The highly-anticipated motion picture was inspired by a thread on Twitter that was written by A’ziah king. The viral real-life story caught the attention of many celebrities and resulted in all of Hollywood attending the actual screening in Utah at the Sundance film festival. The stripper-based narrative featured a long-form thread that involved drugs, sex, and money.
