Michigan retailers took Christmas in July to heart this year as they stocked up throughout the summer in preparation of supply chain disruptions.
Retailers are warning shoppers that restocking inventory during the holiday season will be a challenge due to distribution backlogs and a lack of transportation labor. Toy store owner Lynn Negen said she’s still waiting on specialty orders she placed in February 2020.
