Shock as passengers cling to ‘pallets’ on car roof while driving through Hull

Motorists in west Hull were met by a rather bizarre and dangerous sight on Monday.

This video shows a major disregard for road safety as a the driver of a BMW and his passengers clutch on to a load on the roof of the car.

Rather than securely lash the load, all that can be seen are arms sticking out of the windows grimly holding on to what look like some kind of wooden pallets or frames.

Adrian Jenko filmed the car while travelling along Spring Bank West at around 6pm.

The car is travelling towards Hull before turning off up Walton Street.

He said: “I could not believe what I was seeing. My reaction was one of shock at the first but later I just had to laugh.”

His post has had more than 15,000 views and has been shared more than 200 times on his own Facebook page.
