SHELTON — A city man has been charged with operating a drug factory at his Coram Avenue home, police said.

Detective Richard Bango said an investigation led by the Shelton Patrol and Detective Bureau led to the discovery of 47 grams of crack cocaine and more than $8,000 in the home of 33-year-old Trevor Dixon, who was arrested on Thursday.

Bango said police executed a search and seizure warrant at a Coram Avenue residence on Jan. 27.

“During the search warrant, detectives located 47 grams of individually packaged crack cocaine, 25 grams of marijuana, packaging materials and supplies and $8,300 in cash,” Bango said.

Dixon was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of over half an ounce of marijuana, and interfering with officers.

Dixon, who was on parole according to Bango, was taken into custody and brought to state Superior Court in Milford on Friday.
