Sandbag distribution happening in Robstown on Sept. 19

ROBSTOWN, Texas — According to the latest weather data, there is a chance that Tropical Depression 22 will develop into a hurricane somewhere along the Texas Gulf Coast by early next week.

In preparation for the heavy rain that is expected to impact the Coastal Bend, the Nueces County Draining District #2 and the City of Robstown will be hosting a sandbag distribution.

Officials with Robstown said four sandbags will be allowed per household. There will also be one entrance and one exit, according to the city.

This is the first sandbag distribution site we have learned about as Tropical Depression 22 develops in the Gulf. Stick with 3News for more updates.
