RV and Boat Show in Kearney showing supply chain impacts

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) – The Buffalo County Fairgrounds played host to the RV and Boat Show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The last day of the event wrapped up on Sunday afternoon, the show highlighted recreational products from kayaks to of course RVs and motorhomes.

There however was, however, a noticeable absences of boats at the event, event organizers say that absence was due to supply chain issues that have plagued many industry in recent years and months.

“Boat dealers have really been effected. We don’t even have a boat dealer this year cause they can’t even show a pontoon because those raw materials are very hard and they have and pick up down the line on that,” event organizer Jason Gerber said.

Gerber also said that boats made out of plastic, like kayaks, were not effected as much.
