MANSFIELD – In partnership with the Akron Urban League and its Minority Business Assistance Center-Akron, the North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC) is hosting the Richland County Procurement Week virtual event from Jan. 12 through 14.
The event will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. each day and is completely free.
The Procurement Week gives local businesses the opportunity to expand their customer base and grow their revenue, which is particularly important due to the financial impact of the pandemic. It also helps our public institutions to be focal and buy local.
The goal is to teach local businesses how to become vendors for local governmental and county offices. This forum will include representatives from different organizations and departments that will discuss their purchasing processes with small business owners in the greater Richland County area.
The agenda is as follows:
Tuesday, Jan. 12: Richland County Central Services, Youth & Family Council, Richland County Transit.
Wednesday, Jan. 13: City of Shelby, City of Ontario, the Richland Land Bank, the City of Mansfield.
Thursday, Jan. 14: Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections.
Attendees don’t have to attend every day of the event if they are unable to do so. While the event is free, registration is required and can be done at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUkc-iupjojGtNdvmFq1-9a2Cm0XdJN1dGN.
