Real-time Analytics News Roundup for Week Ending July 25



In the news this week: Partnerships that combine voice analytics and AI platforms, consulting services to accelerate digital transformation and IoT applications, and more.

Keeping pace
with news and developments in the real-time analytics market can be a daunting
task. We want to help by providing a summary of some of the items our staff
came across each week. Here is a short list of some news from this week:

VoiceBase, an AI-powered voice
analytics company, announced a strategic partnership with ThoughtSpot, a search and AI-driven
analytics platform, to help enterprises gain faster insights from their voice
data through innovative search capabilities. By partnering with ThoughtSpot,
VoiceBase customers can equip their business users to find powerful, contextual
insights in their voice, text, and other contact center data. The simple search
interface has made it possible for businesses to get actionable, granular insights
from their voice data on their own, without requiring days of training or
relying on technical experts. Together, VoiceBase and ThoughtSpot have made it
easier to search voice data, personalize, and share these insights, and use
them to drive action that results in business value.

EY and IBM
announce an enhanced, global multi-year alliance designed to help organizations
accelerate digital transformation and improve client outcomes, including
leveraging the hybrid cloud capabilities of Red Hat OpenShift, as well as IBM Watson, IBM Blockchain and IBM’s 5G
and edge technologies. The combination of EY strategy and global business
consulting services, and dedicated EY professionals with broad experience
across IBM’s leading technologies, alongside IBM’s premier consulting
technology practice and powerful hybrid cloud and AI capabilities, will help
clients address significant business challenges. In addition, the alliance will
continue to support multiple functional areas comprising M&A, finance, HR,
legal, tax, risk and compliance, supply chain and asset management to assist
clients in business and workforce transformations, and cloud strategies.

Yellowbrick Data announced a
partnership with Nexla. Both
Yellowbrick and Nexla have customers with huge data needs across a variety of
enterprise applications. Together, they provide a cutting-edge platform for
intercompany data collaboration between or among a company’s customers, suppliers,
or other third-party data providers such as market intelligence firms or
macroeconomic data vendors. As part of their partnership, the companies are
working on technical certifications and performance tuning as well as joint
go-to-market opportunities. The Nexla partnership is part of Yellowbrick’s
ongoing strategy to build the most complete and robust partner ecosystem in the
data warehousing industry. The combination of Yellowbrick’s hybrid cloud
technology and complementary solutions such as Nexla can help enterprises
improve data analytics capabilities, achieve faster time to insights,
facilitate more effective business decision-making, and innovate and thrive in
the competitive global marketplace. And they can do this with ease and speed
because Yellowbrick plugs in seamlessly with very little operational overhead.

DataRobot announced that it
is extending pro bono cloud licenses of its enterprise AI platform to qualified
nonprofit and social good organizations. The announcement is made to celebrate
the anniversary of the launch of the company’s AI for Good program. DataRobot launched its
AI for Good program last July to help nonprofit and social good organizations
accelerate their efforts to solve the world’s most pressing problems. Building
on the success seen by the organizations already a part of the program as well
as those that leveraged its offering to aid COVID-19 research, DataRobot
aims to further democratize AI and ultimately enable more charitable
organizations to solve critical global issues using AI.

Wipro Limited announced that it will
launch its 5G edge services solutions suite. The solutions suite to be provided
by Wipro is built with IBM
TRIRIGA
 and IBM Edge Application
Manager
. Wipro will engage with clients to implement the Universal Edge
solutions suite that leverages 5G network capabilities. This solution is
designed to offer Wipro customers better data control, reduced costs, faster
insights and actions, and more automated, secured operations. A key module of
the solution, primarily for the telecom ecosystem, provides a complete
application suite to enable a secured gig economy around 5G-related services.

Verizon Business announced plans to simplify and accelerate end-to-end IoT solution
creation by providing all the critical components in the IoT value chain
available to customers, such as connected devices, network/capability, cloud
hosting, and artificial intelligence. Verizon’s 5G/LTE Network, ThingSpace IoT platform – including secure connectivity to
Verizon’s industry-leading 5G/LTE network and full management and diagnostics
capabilities – and Critical Asset Sensor (CAS) devices have been integrated
with Microsoft Azure to enable IoT Builders to create new IoT
applications quickly and efficiently. Microsoft Azure IoT Central provides
application-level, cloud-based analytics, as well as pre-built templates for a
variety of industry use cases. By integrating Verizon’s ThingSpace platform and
Azure infrastructure, IoT system builders, integrators, and service providers
are able to quickly develop, deploy and operationalize complete IoT solutions.

Robin.io, the 5G and Enterprise application
automation platform company, announced new platform capabilities that help
customers effectively adopt hybrid and multi-cloud strategies. The Robin
Cloud-Native Platform now enables customers to easily move complex stateful
applications across clouds to unlock cost efficiencies and avoid infrastructure
lock-in.The new capability is now generally available in the Robin
Platform. It extends Kubernetes to provide a simple three-step solution to move
complex and multi-tier stateful applications from one cloud to another. The
steps include creating an application-level snapshot on the source cloud, pushing
the snapshot to a global repository, and pulling the snapshot from the global
repository to the target cloud. On the target cloud, the user can recreate the
application, along with its data and exact configuration, by importing the
application-level snapshot using a single command or click.

KnoaSoftware, a
provider of user experience management (UEM) software, announced Knoa
Analytics
, a new component of Knoa UEM, which is also sold by SAP as SAP®
User Experience Management (SAP UEM) by Knoa
. This new analytics
platform extends and complements the current product offering with a new set of
analytical capabilities geared towards accelerating adoption on enterprise
software such as SAP, increasing user productivity, and offering more intuitive
insights into business performance, as well as team-level and project-based
collaboration. The new component delivers enhanced analytical capabilities to
help organizations leverage Knoa’s unique user experience data for key business
initiatives, such as migrating
to SAP S/4HANA
 and cloud-based enterprise solutions, prioritizing
automation initiatives, and optimizing and
managing efficiencies of a remote workforce
.
