In the cover of darkness last night, a rainbow-colored letter E was added to the side of the Sonoma Cheese Factory sign, which for months has been missing the letter. It is unclear who attached the vibrant addition, and whether it was an act of protest against the Cheese Factory’s owners, prolific real estate buyers Ken and Stacy Mattson. The couple came under fire in 2019 when anti-gay posts from Stacy Mattson’s Facebook page were made public. At that time, rainbow flags were hung in protest at Ramekins Culinary School (now Seven Branches Venue and Inn), another Mattson property.
