Thermo Fisher Scientific’s
(TMO) tender offer of €43 ($51) per share, as it feels the price “is a material discount to the fair value” of Qiagen. To that end, Davidson won’t tender its Qiagen shares, and asked other shareholders to reject Thermo Fisher’s offer.

Boxer Capital disclosed an interest of 2,107,513 shares of the newly public clinical-stage biopharmaceutical firm. Boxer bought 722,222 of those shares at $18 apiece through Pandion Therapeutic’s July initial public offering. Boxer owns a 7.4% stake in Pandion, and also disclosed that one of its managing partners serves on Pandion’s board.
iTeos Therapeutics

RA Capital initiated a new position in the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical firm of 4,417,259 shares. iTeos Therapeutics debuted publicly through a July IPO that priced shares at $19 each. RA Capital purchased 1,425,000 iTeos shares through the offering, while the balance of its iTeos stake resulted from the conversion of pre-IPO preferred securities. RA Capital currently holds 13.2% of iTeos’ tradable stock.
Unifi
(UFI)
Inclusive Capital revealed an initial investment in the textile firm of 1,417,054 shares, equal to 7.7% of Unifi’s outstanding stock. Inclusive said it will likely continue to have talks with Unifi regarding operations and strategy, but no definitive plans or proposals have yet been made. Eva Zlotnicka, co-founder of Inclusive, serves on Unifi’s board.
Increases in Holdings
Edenbrook Capital lifted its position in the enterprise-services firm to 11,757,637 shares. From June 30 through Aug. 4, Edenbrook bought a total of 1,012,567 ServiceSource shares at a per-share price range of $1.45 to $1.56. No reason was cited for the fresh additions that give Edenbrook a 12.3% interest in ServiceSource’s outstanding stock.
Decreases in Holdings
Fortress Investment Group reduced its stake in the maker of consumer household products to 2,946,314 shares. Without providing a reason, Fortress sold 528,150 Spectrum Brand shares from June 8 through Aug. 3 at prices ranging from $48.58 to $57.68 apiece. Fortress now owns a 6.8% interest in Spectrum’s tradable stock.
