TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – A politician from the Indonesian Solidarity Party or PSI, Anthony Winza Prabowo, who is also a member of the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission C overseeing finance, discovered yet another oddity in Jakarta budget plan or RAPBD.
Anthony said the city tax and retribution agency (BPRD) proposed an Rp128.9 billion budget for the procurement of computers and other devices.
“I find a pretty fantastic amount of budget from the BPRD,” said Anthony during a budget draft meeting at DPRD Commission C, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 5.
According to the PSI politician, the agency earmarked the budget for the procurement of computers with analytic data capabilities worth Rp60 billion and the other nine devices valued Rp60 billion.
Cited from the city’s website apbd.jakarta.go.id, the agency proposed the budget for the improvement of the data analytic capability and risk management at Rp128.99 billion. From the figure, the majority would be for the procurement of computers and devices.
The planned purchase details are Z14 ZR1 mainframe PC at Rp66.67 billion each, two units of SAN Switch at Rp3.49 billion, six server units at Rp307.95 million, and nine storage units for the mainframe at Rp58.5 billion.
Anthony then demanded a comparison of computer usage between the agency and the National Tax Directorate (DJP) office. He questioned did the DJP having a bigger scope of work than the BPRD Jakarta buy a similar unit or not.
