Corruption Watch has called on Finance Minister Tito Mboweni to publicly brief South Africans about measures that the National Treasury has put in place to ensure the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines is not tainted by corruption.

In a hard-hitting letter to Mboweni and Treasury’s executives a week ago, it asked that the finance department should brief the public about the procurement methods to be used when buying vaccines from international pharmaceutical companies.
